Female Zebra Spider (Salticus scenicus)
This one was probably 5mm long. Taken with extension tubes without electrical connections at f/8 making it very difficult to focus on at 2x magnification. These guys don’t stay still either!

An angry Adder. It was angry because it had just been handled by the herpetologist that I was with. I didn’t know that they hissed so much!
A kestrel at godrevy. Got several closer in-flight shots however they were annoyingly just out of focus! This is definitely one of the tamest kestrels I’ve seen and got pretty close with a 200mm lens. It was awesome to see just how good they are at hovering, it was staying rock steady even though it was really windy!
Flower beetle.
Found loads of these guys in thrift flowers on my walk around the lizard, as I didn’t have my macro lens I took one home and set up a little macro studio.
I used my macro lens with a set of cheap extension tubes which gives me nearly 2x magnification.
I would have liked a little more depth of field but as my tubes have no electrical connections I have to keep the lens stopped down so it’s very difficult to focus with anything more than f/8.
Purple Sandpiper on Pendennis point today. It flew away because it was nearly caught out by a larger than average wave.
